meet the videographer

Hi, I’m Tate and I’m the lead videographer at CVP. I’ve been making videos since 8th grade, but I really learned the ropes when I was hired to be the camera guy at a summer camp in MN in 2010. For the next 9 years that camp would serve as my videography training ground.

in 2013, some friends asked me to film their wedding and make a short highlight video of their special day. This was a much different project than what I was used to. I was nervous and intimidated, but I went for it. I had A BLAST. Better yet, they loved the video. Since then I’ve honed my skills by doing more work with the camp, creating more wedding videos, and doing some freelance work for churches in the Twin Cities.

why chapel?

Covenant Pines Bible Camp, where I learned almost everything I know about video, is home to an old A-frame Chapel. This Chapel represents so much in my life. It’s where I decided to be a true follower of Jesus. It’s where I sat with many young people as they considered the same decision. It’s where I filmed my very first wedding video back when I didn’t know what I was doing. It’s also were I filmed two other weddings and photographed two proposals. It’s the heart of the camp where I grew into a professional videographer.

This Chapel is a sacred place for me. It represents worship and love. So much care was put into its creation and it has blessed countless people for many generations. My goal is to put the same kind of care into my videos. My goal is that the videos will be a lasting blessing in people’s lives.
